MGSC 300

4/5/2011

This was the day of our exam. I was very pleased with how I did but I had a question. I thought a cookie was a track file put on your hard drive, does a text file put on your hard drive track you? Also what does bandwidth measure? I know it doesn't measure packets but I was wondering what it meant.
Thank you,
Courtney

  1. Cookies are little text files...go to your Start buttong on your machine, and do a search for "cookies"--then read the files that you find (and feel free to delete them!).

Bandwidth refers to how many bits per second move past a given location--it is a function of two variables: the speed of transmission and how wide the "pipe" is that's carrying the bits...
